ISO14000

ISO 14000 is the environmental management standard published and maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

This help organizations minimize the harm they do to the environment, comply with international environmental law and commit to continually improving upon these processes.

ISO 14001 is specifically concerned with helping companies to develop a framework within which they can implement their own environmental management system.

REACH

REACH is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances. The law entered into force on 1 June 2007. The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.

ICT is in close contact with all our suppliers to provided substances information of very high concern (SVHC) in the candidate list of REACH article 33 Annex XIV for maximum concentration 0.1% w/w.

REACH article 67 is the restrictive substance listed in Annex XVII ,the list of restrictions on the manufacture, placing on the market and use of certain dangerous chemical substances, mixtures and articles. The Annex contains the restrictions of the marketing and use of dangerous substances adopted since 1976 in the framework of Directive 76/769/EEC, as well as subsequent restrictions adopted under REACH.

RoHS & RoHS 2.0

RoHS Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive: Since February 13, 2003, the RoHS (restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) has been a law in EU. RoHS bans lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), PBBs (polybrominated biphenyls), and PBDEs (polybrominateddiphenys ethers). The implementation date is July 1, 2006. That means, starting from that date, all EEE (electrical and electronic equipment), except those with exemptions, cannot be put on the market in the EU if they contain those six banned materials.

RoHS Recast or RoHS 2.0 was the New Approach and New Legislative Framework adopted by the EU, RoHS Recast uses annexes to specify covered EEE and restricted substances so that they can be more easily "adapted to technical progress" (ATP). Compliance is demonstrated by the CE mark, standards developed by European Standards Organizations, and "Module A" conformity assessment procedures.

Starting from September 2010 onward, we started to use BOM check for substance declaration.
